Pictured above is the Principal Chief Gary Hunt of the Piqua Sept, Shawnee Indians. At right he is pictured with Kenton Kin President Barbara White’s granddaughter, Shannon Thomas of Harrisburg area. A few years ago she was adopted into the Shawnee tribe and in this photo taken at the Old Washington, KY meeting the Chief performed her "Naming" ceremony. It was outstanding, and usually performed as a private ceremony, but he made an exception for this one. Her Indian name is "Little White Wolf" and the circle is now closed as her sixth great Grandfather, Simon Kenton was adopted and had a "Naming" as well, though over 200 years ago and he is "The Big White Wolf" What goes around, comes around. It was a beautiful but tearful ceremony and moved us all.

 Barbara White, President/Kenton Kin Assoc.
